I greet you in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ from whom all blessings flow. I am excited and thankful for your support in electing me the 35th Fourth District Representative to serve this District. You have elected a leadership team that is committed to working for you each and every day to improve the delivery of programs, respond to your needs, and identify best practices to continue to move our District forward.
We have much work to do if we want to remain a major voice in the states of Ohio and West Virginia. A collection of 1000 college-educated men can have a tremendous impact on our communities as long as we come together. Genesis 11:6 states And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do, the NIV version states it this way. “If as one people speaking the same language, they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
Excellence is the Expectation. In the words of our Founder Bishop Love, “For a man’s reach ought to exceed his grasp bigoted, status conscience, money, great family backings color conscience. Fraternity in reality as well as name.
Our society is approaching a tipping point as we continue to witness the senseless killing of our black and brown brothers and sisters from our law enforcement. Added to these atrocities are the health gap disparities that we have experienced during this Covid-19 Pandemic. Now after all of these potential setbacks most of the country's legislatures are trying to change the voting rights of the people, we must get out in our communities and combat this effort through education.
Yes, my brothers, it is time for Omega to lead the charge to make sure that the voice of our people is being heard. In order to be effective, each chapter graduate and undergraduate will have to work together so we will speak with one voice, one sound, one determination to have an impact in the areas that we are present.
Leaders from this District have been ever-present in the fight for Social Justice, assault on illiteracy, voting rights legislation, fair housing, and the fulfillment of our Nationally Mandated Programs. As I peruse our ranks, I see the same level of ability, enthusiasm, and desire to continue this legacy for the Mighty Fourth District.
There is a place for mediocracy in our society, but not in Omega. We will continue to work to continue those areas where we are leading with excellence, identify best practices to improve areas that require additional attention, and build it if we are not satisfied with what’s available. We will exercise a “CAN DO ATTITUDE” during this administration. I solicit your help as we turn the chapter.
God Bless You and Your families as we embark on a new chapter in our Fourth District History, and above all “You Be At Peace”
